The Cabin

The ‘Gateway’ cabin enjoys beautiful views across Scapa Flow and the farms of the Island of Burray. It has one double bedroom, one twin bedroom with an extra pull down small bunk and the living room can sleep 2 people. Sleeps: 4. Cot available if required.

Please note, that for 2023, our bookings will be Friday to Friday, to enable you to spend a full weekend in Orkney,

Well behaved pets welcome (but are not allowed on the furniture).

The Cabin is set in 6 acres of working croft land, overlooking Scapa Flow, the Churchill barriers and the uninhabited island of Copinsay.
Depending on what time of year you come there will be newborn lambs, baby chicks and ducks.

Kitchen has crockery, cutlery, and all utensils, microwave, toaster, electric cooker.
Fridge with freezer compartment, iron and ironing board.
Lounge with colour TV with iPod dock, Stereo/CD, pull down double bed, electric fire. Books, games, CDs.
Seated dining area.

Bedroom 1 has double bed, wardrobe, electric radiator, hairdryer etc. Cot if required. Bedroom 2 - Twin room with small pull down extra bunk, wardrobe and electric radiator.

The Cabin also has outdoor washing line and parking area.

 

 

Available all year round.
Jan, Feb, March, Nov £300 per week.
April, May, Oct £350 per week.
June, July, Aug, Sept £400 per week.
Christmas and New Year £350 per week.

Prices include towels (not beach towels), linen for kitchen, and bed linen.

Electricity is extra by use of a £2 coin meter.

Large decking area with table and chairs.
On the bus route.

No smoking indoors, Pets are most welcome but are not allowed on the furniture; Owners must bring their own drinking bowls, food bowls, and pet beds.
All dog messes must be picked up (bags are provided) and placed in the appropriate bin.

A charge of £15 per week per pet will be made to cover the extra cleaning time needed after pets have been to stay.
